This Halloween Sugar Cookie Pizza is one of my kids favorite desserts to make for Halloween. I don't think that we ever make it the same each year, since we like to try it with different toppings.

We do always include Oreo cookies though every time. My favorite ones to use are these. I think they look so cute and it saves time with cutting the cookies. But, cutting the cookies does give that "dirt" look that makes it more spooky.

Tips for Making Halloween Sugar Cookie Pizza

First, I wanted to try something different this year, and tried to cook this on my pizza stone. Unfortunately, this was an epic fail. Don't do this.

Do not spread cookie dough out to edges on pizza stone

It looks pretty good here. We spread out the cookie dough and it looked just like pizza dough. However, we popped it in the oven and it proceeded to bake out and over all of the edges, into the bottom of my stove. Lots of burning smells and a huge mess to clean up.

Spreading the cookie dough out on a baking pan with an edge is best. These are the baking pans I use and love. They really are nonstick and they clean up super easy. I would buy these again and again.

Get Creative with Your Toppings!

When the cookie has cooled completely after baking, it's time to add the toppings. Spread the peanut butter over the entire cookie. After that, it's time for the cookies and candies.

Add whatever toppings you feel like. We like to stick with candies that are black and orange and yellow, to get the Halloween look. Reese's Pieces are better for this over M&Ms due to their fall type colorings.

Halloween Sugar Cookie Pizza is the perfect fun recipe to make with kids, since it's really hard to mess this up (well mostly...just don't use a pizza stone!) Also, the kids will love to make it their own if they get to pick out the toppings.
